Our Story

The . of Goodspeed

1963

Foundation by
Tennis Legend

The company was founded by German tennis icon Gottfried von Cramm, also known as the “German Tennis Baron.” Initially named Gödel & von Cramm GmbH & Co. KG, it gained early fame for building high-quality tennis clay courts throughout Germany.

1976

A New Chapter Begins

Following the passing of von Cramm, the company transitioned from clay courts to developing advanced running tracks and multipurpose outdoor sports surfaces across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and beyond.

2003

New Leadership & Innovation

Dr. Ralf Jooss took over the company, laying the foundation for a vertically integrated sports surface business. This marked the beginning of in-house development and production of polyurethane-based systems for outdoor and indoor applications.

Global Expansion

PORPLASTIC launched its international footprint, supplying systems to all climate zones and building a strong global network of applicators across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Americas.

Engineering Division Established

To meet increasing global demand, PORPLASTIC Engineering was formed, offering direct installations and reinforcing the brand’s reputation for innovation and quality.

Next Generation Joins

Katrin Jooss joined PORPLASTIC Sportbau, strengthening the company’s finance and management capabilities to support its growing global operations.

Strategic Transition

Dr. Ralf Jooss sold VIACOR Polymer GmbH, freeing up resources and vision to pursue new global opportunities and elevate PORPLASTIC’s global strategy.

Partnership in Asia

FLOORFINDER ASIA, based in Malaysia, became an official licensed manufacturer of PORPLASTIC systems—producing certified indoor and outdoor solutions for the world market.
