Installation Overview: Stadium MBPJ, Selangor, Malaysia

Opened in 1996 ahead of the 1998 Commonwealth Games, where it notably hosted the rugby union events. The Petaling Jaya Stadium (widely known as Stadium MBPJ) is a premier multi-purpose sports venue located in Kelana Jaya.
Over the decades, the stadium has evolved into a vital hub for Malaysian sports, serving as the home ground for historic football club, Selangor FC.
To meet stringent international sporting standards and prepare for high-profile fixtures such as the AFC Champions League Two, the stadium underwent major infrastructure and track upgrading works. As part of this comprehensive modernization to elevate its athletic capabilities, the venue selected the high-performance Goodspeed SW competition system.

installation process
The on-site execution and installation sequence of the Goodspeed SW competition system followed rigorous technical guidelines
1.Base Preparation & Primer Application Thorough cleaning of the asphalt substrate followed by the application of deep-penetrating primer (Goodspeed P270) via roll or spray to ensure structural adhesion.

2.Elastic Layer Paving
Mechanical paving of the shock-absorbing mat utilizing Goodspeed T776 binder combined with Goodspeed SBR granules (1–4mm) to establish a resilient, cushioning layer (ca. 10–12 mm).

3.Pore Sealing
Applying the liquid cast coating (Goodspeed C570) with a notched squeegee, immediately broadcasting colored EPDM granules (1–4mm) onto the wet matrix, and removing excess material to achieve the final ~4.00 mm wearing texture.

4. Wearing Layer & Broadcasting
Systematic application of Goodspeed L370 pore sealer using long-handled squeegees to completely seal substrate voids and pores before top coating.

5. Line Marking & Finishing
Final high-precision line painting (Goodspeed X8090) for lanes, starting blocks, and event boundaries

Through meticulous engineering and precise on-site execution, the successful installation of the Goodspeed SW competition system ensures that Stadium MBPJ remains a premier, high-performance sporting arena built to serve elite athletes and national competitions for years to come.
